How do you order online?

We’re asking people from different cities, different companies, and different lifestyles to answer how they order their favorite meals to their door.
Today, we sat down with Justin from Sprinkles!

Justin Murakami
Sprinkles, Vice President of Operations
Austin, TX

1. What’s your favorite restaurant, currently?
Living in Austin right now is a great time to be here from a culinary standpoint. It seems each month there is a great new restaurant, food truck, bar, coffee shop to go check out. Most of the time they live up to the hype as well. Currently I have been finding myself going to Comedor a lot modern spin on Mexican Cuisine. They have really hit the mark from the physical building itself, cocktails, and the food.

2. What’s your favorite food?
For me nothing beats a good “street taco” when I am out in L.A.

3. How many times a month do you order food delivery?
More than I really want to admit. I love cooking at home, but just like everyone else finding the time with busy schedules can be challenging. Right now, especially this time of year with my schedule, I am ordering out 12-15 times a month.

4. Does your office order-in food?
Yes we do. At least once a week we do one meal as an office together where we order in. Throughout the week specific departments will order in for team meetings and so forth.

5. What is your favorite food to order and why?
In terms of quality of the food you receive through delivery the old stand by’s of Pizza and Burgers seem to hold up fairly well. Salads also are great for ordering in as they hold up really well as long as the dressing is on the side.

6. What is the worst delivery food item you’ve ordered?
Anything fried! Just a soppy broken down mess usually when it arrives.

7. What time of day do you like to order the most? Why?
For me with my schedule and when I eat it is usually later in the evenings after 8pm.

8. What is your favorite online ordering platform?
I order the most off of Doordash!

9. Have you ever ordered online outside of your city?
I do travel a couple weeks out of each month, so there is definitely some ordering happening to my hotel on trips

10. What can’t you get through delivery that you wish you could?
That’s tough since between food delivery and Amazon I can order basically everything I need. If I had to pick something I would love to be able to order more time in my day!
